Our Commitment to Accessibility
Drycor Restore is committed to making drycor.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or display magnification. We believe access to clear, accurate information about restoration services should not depend on a visitor’s abilities or the device they’re using.
This site is built with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the widely recognized benchmark for accessible web content. Those guidelines address things like sufficient color contrast, descriptive link text, image alt attributes, logical heading structure, and keyboard-navigable menus.
What We’ve Done to Support Accessible Use
The pages on this site are structured with semantic HTML so that screen readers can interpret headings, lists, and form labels in a meaningful order. Images that convey information include descriptive alt text. Contact forms are labeled so that assistive technologies can identify each field. We avoid relying on color alone to communicate meaning, and we aim to keep text legible at standard browser zoom levels without content breaking or overlapping.
We also test across common screen reader and browser combinations during development, though we recognize that no automated process catches everything, which is why we take user-reported issues seriously.
Known Limitations and Ongoing Work
Accessibility is not a one-time checkbox. Third-party content, such as embedded maps or externally hosted review widgets, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and those elements are outside our direct control. We flag these gaps when we find them and work to replace or supplement inaccessible third-party components where possible.
