DRYCOR RESTORE has been working through water intrusions, fire damage, mold discoveries, and the chaos that follows all three since 2005. That’s nearly two decades of arriving at homes and commercial properties after something has gone wrong, often badly wrong, and helping owners understand what happened, what it will take to fix it, and how to move through an insurance claim without losing their footing.

What we do

On any given day, that means dispatching a crew at 2 a.m. because a pipe burst while a family was asleep, or walking a property manager through visible mold growth behind drywall that a tenant just found. It means reading moisture maps, pulling wet insulation, setting drying equipment, and documenting every step so an insurance adjuster has what they need. The work is physical and technical at the same time, you can’t fake a dry structure, and a moisture meter doesn’t lie. We operate around the clock because water damage and fire damage don’t wait for business hours, and the first hours after a loss matter more than most homeowners realize.

We also work directly with insurance carriers on covered losses. That means we handle the documentation, the photo logs, and the scope of work, not the homeowner scrambling to explain damage they’ve never seen before.

Our certifications and licensure

The IICRC, the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, sets the technical standards the restoration industry runs on. As an IICRC Certified Firm with Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification, we follow those standards on every job, not just the ones that get inspected. That matters because drying a structure correctly isn’t obvious: materials that read dry at the surface can hold moisture in the substrate for weeks if the process is rushed.

EPA Lead-Safe certification is a federal requirement for any contractor disturbing painted surfaces in homes built before 1978. Much of the housing stock in the greater Tampa Bay area falls into that window. Working without that certification in those homes isn’t just a compliance gap, it’s a health risk.

OSHA training covers the jobsite safety protocols our crews follow when conditions are hazardous: sewage backups, structural instability after fire, confined spaces. And our NAERMC mold certification reflects the specialized assessment and remediation knowledge that mold work specifically demands.

Where we work

Our home base is Thonotosassa, FL, which puts us in the northeast corner of Hillsborough County, close to the I-4 and I-75 interchange and within a practical drive of a wide stretch of the Tampa Bay region. We serve communities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, and Polk counties, including Tampa, Brandon, Plant City, Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, and the surrounding areas.

Florida’s climate makes water damage a year-round concern here, not a seasonal one. The combination of high humidity, afternoon storm activity through the long summer months, and an aging housing stock in many established neighborhoods means moisture problems surface often, and move fast when they do.
